Product roadmap

Build the right thing. Show the work.

We said we would build in public — here is the public part, laid out as the path it is. Four of the six stops are built and running on real devices today: the live map, community trust, the store workspace and shareable web shelves. Launch readiness is the stop we are standing on; the one after it is where the trail goes next.

NowOn-device testing

The full product — map, findings, alerts, store tools, the browser workspace and live web shelves — running end to end with the founding team, with push notifications now landing on real phones.

NextCollectors on the web

Watches, saves and product pages in a browser, so following a card takes nothing more than the page you are already on.

ThenGoogle Play, then live prices

A measured Android release — and after launch, live market prices beside every shop's stock with price-swing alerts.

The path

Six stops from idea to launch — and one beyond it.

Shipped means built, working and being tested on real devices — not a promise. In build means code is being written now. Planned means agreed, not started, and dated by nobody.

  1. 01Shipped

    Foundation

    Identity before inventory.

Accounts are passwordless — a sign-in link lands in your email, so there is no password to reuse, forget or leak. Store access is earned by claiming a real shop, not picked from a dropdown, and shop owners keep their collector profile alongside it.

    • Passwordless email sign-in — no passwords, anywhere
    • Collector profiles with handles and avatars
    • Store access through verified shop claims — owners stay collectors too
    • The public website you are reading now

    Local discovery

    The local picture, visible.

The live UK map is real: thousands of chain stockists plus hundreds of hand-curated independent card shops, each with hours, photos and directions. Search is built for collectors — type “Umbreon VMAX 215/203”, misspell it, and still find the closest shop with one on the shelf.

    • Live UK-wide map — thousands of stockists, hundreds of curated independents
    • Store pages with hours, photos and one-tap directions
    • Photo-backed finding reports with location checks and freshness
    • Typo-tolerant card search that finds the closest shop with stock
  3. 03Shipped

    Community trust

    Reports that earn their keep.

Findings are validated and expire honestly, verified reporters climb eight collector ranks with real rewards, and the alert that matters most exists: watch a card, set your range and your maximum price, and hear the moment a shop nearby has it — within budget.

    • Community validation and honest expiry on every finding
    • Eight collector ranks with claimable rewards, plus a leaderboard
    • Card watches with your chosen radius and a max-price cap
    • Push notifications on Android — chat replies and shop announcements reach the phone now, with quiet hours and a weekly limit so they stay worth reading
    • Moderation with written reasons behind every action
  4. 04Shipped

    Store workspace

    A digital window, wide open.

Claimed shops run a full workspace from the app or any browser: inventory down to Japanese stock, print finishes and graded cards, a spotlight shelf, release-day events with genuine anti-scalping tickets, live chat with collectors — and a shareable shelf on this very website at discovertcg.com/your-shop.

    • Inventory with prices, quantities, languages, finishes and grades
    • Release-day events with one-code-per-person anti-scalping tickets
    • Live collector-to-counter chat and follower announcements
    • A live, shareable web shelf at discovertcg.com/your-shop
    • The whole workspace in a browser — stock, CSV import, events, chat and styling

    Launch readiness

    Prove it locally, then grow.

The product is being tested end to end on real devices right now. The browser workspace and self-serve shop claiming landed in August, and push notifications went live with them — chat replies and shop announcements arrive on an Android phone today. What stands between here and Google Play: collector features on the web, and push on iPhone.

    • On-device testing with the founding team — happening now
    • Collector features on the web — watches, saves and product pages
    • Push notifications on iPhone — the Android side is live
    • A phased Google Play release, Android first

On the horizon · Future updates

Know the price. Keep the margin.

A shop should never learn from a customer that a card doubled last week. After launch, live market prices land beside every item on your shelf, and when something you sell moves sharply — up or down — you hear about it, on your own definition of sharp. Prices inform your decision; they never set your price for you.

    • Live price updates for your stock — what each card and sealed product is trading at, refreshed through the day, right beside your listed price
    • Price-swing notifications — a push or an email the moment a card you sell has changed drastically in price, so you are always selling at the best price possible
    • Custom price ranges — set how much difference should trigger a notification, as a percentage or a pound amount, shop-wide or per product
    • Reprice from the alert in one tap, with the move it reacted to kept alongside the item

Also on the horizon, further down the trail: the composed store page with sealed and singles tabs, event dials (trust thresholds, early windows, waitlists), and a richer sealed catalogue.
