1. If someone is in immediate danger
If a person is at immediate risk of harm, contact the police on 999 first. We are a small team and cannot provide an emergency response. Report it to us as well, so that we can act on the account and preserve what we hold.
This is a version 1.0 draft published during development. It sets out how we intend to operate DiscoverTCG, and should be reviewed by a qualified adviser, alongside our other policies, before public launch.
2. How to report
DiscoverTCG is still in development, so reports currently reach us by email. In-app reporting controls on every finding, comment, account and store profile will ship with the community features described on our roadmap.
Email support@discovertcg.com with “DiscoverTCG report” in the subject, and tell us:
- What you are reporting — a finding, comment, photo, account, store profile or message.
- Where it is, as precisely as you can: a link, a store name, a date and a time.
- What is wrong with it, in your own words.
- Whether anyone is at risk right now.
- How we can reach you, if you would like a reply.
You do not need to use legal language, and you do not need to be the person affected.
3. What you can report
- Illegal content — anything you believe breaks the law.
- Risk to a child — content involving, targeting or endangering a minor.
- Threats, harassment or abuse — including behaviour that continues off the service.
- Private information — a photo or post exposing someone’s identity, home, workplace or movements.
- False or manipulated findings — invented stock, coordinated validation, duplicate accounts.
- Counterfeit or misdescribed product — proxies or fakes presented as genuine.
- Scams — fake giveaways, phishing, or attempts to move a deal off-platform.
- Intellectual property infringement — see section 5.
- Impersonation — of a person, a store, or of DiscoverTCG itself.
- A store dispute — if a finding misrepresents your business.
4. Removing personal information
If a photo or post on DiscoverTCG identifies you — your face, your vehicle, your address, your receipt or your movements — you can ask us to take it down, whether or not you have an account.
Email us with “DiscoverTCG privacy takedown” in the subject. You do not have to explain why. Separately, our privacy notice sets out your wider rights over information we hold about you.
5. Intellectual property
DiscoverTCG hosts photographs taken by collectors, which routinely include product packaging, card artwork and store branding owned by other people. We are not affiliated with any trading card publisher — see our legal notice.
If you own a right and believe content here infringes it, email us with “DiscoverTCG IP notice” in the subject, including:
- Identification of the work, mark or right you own.
- Where the infringing content is on DiscoverTCG.
- Enough contact detail for us to reach you.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised.
- A statement that the information you have given is accurate, and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
We will remove or restrict content where a notice appears well founded, and will tell the person who posted it what happened and how to respond. If you believe your content was removed in error, reply to us and we will reconsider it.
6. What happens after you report
- Acknowledgement. We aim to confirm we have your report within two working days.
- Assessment. We look at the content, its context and the account’s history. We may hide it while we assess.
- Decision. We take one of the steps in our community guidelines, or we leave it in place.
- Outcome. We aim to tell you what we decided. We will not share another person’s account details with you.
Anything suggesting a risk to a person or a child is prioritised ahead of everything else. These are the timescales we are building towards during development, not a contractual commitment.
7. Appeals
If you posted something we removed, or your account was restricted, you can appeal. Email us with “DiscoverTCG moderation appeal” in the subject, telling us what was actioned and why you think it was wrong. Where it is practical, the appeal will be reviewed by someone who was not involved in the original decision. We will tell you the outcome and our reasons.
8. Misusing the reporting process
Reporting in bad faith is itself a breach of our community guidelines. Submitting reports to remove a competitor’s store, to bury findings you would rather others did not see, or to harass someone, may lead to action against your own account.
9. Contact
All reports: support@discovertcg.com. DiscoverTCG is operated by Stockulate in the United Kingdom; full operator details are on our legal notice.
