What we have built in so far, what we know is not good enough yet, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.

1. Our aim

We want DiscoverTCG to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who navigate by keyboard, use a screen reader, need larger text, or prefer reduced motion.

We are working towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA as our standard, for both this website and the app.

2. What this website does today

The following are built into the current site:

  • A skip link, so you can jump straight to the main content.
  • Keyboard access to every interactive control, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Semantic headings and landmarks, so a screen reader can navigate by structure.
  • Labels on navigation, buttons and icon-only controls.
  • Decorative graphics marked so that assistive technology skips them.
  • Motion and reveal animations disabled automatically when your device requests reduced motion.
  • Layouts that reflow to narrow screens and tolerate zooming without loss of content.
  • Text and interface colours chosen for contrast against the dark background.

3. What we know is not good enough yet

This statement is based on our own testing, not an independent audit. We have not yet had the site assessed by a specialist, so this is what we currently know about rather than a complete list.

  • The illustrated map and product previews on the home page are decorative and convey nothing to assistive technology. The same information is available in the surrounding text.
  • We have not tested against the full range of screen readers, browsers and devices.
  • The DiscoverTCG app has not yet been assessed. We intend to hold it to the same standard.
  • Some contrast and spacing choices have not been verified against every WCAG 2.2 success criterion.

4. Tell us about a barrier

If something on DiscoverTCG stopped you doing what you came to do, we would genuinely like to know. Email support@discovertcg.com with “DiscoverTCG accessibility” in the subject.

It helps if you can tell us:

  • The page or screen you were on.
  • What you were trying to do.
  • The device, browser and any assistive technology you were using.

We aim to reply within five working days. If you need information from this site in another format, ask and we will do our best to provide it.

5. What happens next

Before public launch we intend to carry out a structured review of the website and the app against WCAG 2.2 AA, address what it finds, and update this statement with the date of that review and any issues still outstanding.
